Installed one of these into my 2004 ford ranger level 2. I have one word for this unit and that is AMAZING! I went for a test drive into the Oregon coast range. I was up pushing snow over the front bumper while navigating washouts, landslides, and deep ruts. I pulled right up and out of several deep ruts and washouts buried under the snow. My ranger handles so well it is hard to spin a tire enough to slide around and have a little fun. I use bf Goodrich all terrain t/a in 33×10.50R15. With the stock differential in the snow I would go fine until I had to turn and the front end would just slide straight forcing me to chain up. I did not even come close to having to put chains on. In two wheel drive on the street I cannot even tell there is a differential up front. My ranger drives nicer and is noticeably quitter. In four wheel drive it is hard to notice at times if the front end is engaged because there is minimal steering wheel pull. The exception is under heavy throttle however, I think the steering wheel pulls less then the open differential did. To sum it all up my Ranger just simply drives and handles superbly.
